Tomasz Żurek graduated from the University of Economics in Krakow in 1998 with a Master’s Degree in Economics, specializing in Commercial Finance and Accounting. In 2003, he became a Registered Chartered Auditor with the Polish Chamber of Registered Auditors (PIBR). His professional journey began at KPMG Polska Audyt, where he served in Audit and Advisory Services until 2003. Subsequently, he was the Financial Director for the Radisson SAS Hotels in Kraków and Wrocław until 2008. Joining UBS Poland in 2008, Tomasz held various roles, starting as the Head of Finance and later transitioning to Chief Administration Officer from 2013—2017. In this capacity, he led Premises, Support, and BRM teams and oversaw location-specific projects. From 2017—2019, he served as the Senior Delivery Head for Group Sourcing in Poland, managing the global Logistic Platform rollout. From 2019—2021, Tomasz took on a dual role as Group Risk Control Poland Head and Risk Operational Services and Controls Global Head. Here, he led the Poland GRC team and a global team focused on Credit & Market Risk controls. Currently, as the Group Finance Poland Head at UBS Poland, Tomasz oversees the Finance & Treasury teams, which comprise approximately 450 professionals.
